Come and discover the key places in Jordan, a country steeped in history and known for its ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts.
It is in Jordan that we find the famous archaeological site of Petra, the capital of the Nabataeans, which dates back to around 300 BC. This place is located in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments carved into the pink sandstone cliffs that surround it and lives up to its nickname of “Pink City”.
In addition to Petra, we will visit many more places, including the Wadi Rum desert, where you will have the opportunity to sleep in a desert camp and take a jeep ride in the desert dunes.
You’ll also have the chance to see the Dead Sea, famous for being easy to float on due to the amount of salt there.
You’ll discover these and many other interesting places on this complete tour of Jordan.

Day 2
Amã - Desert Castles - Amã
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for the eastern part of Jordan to visit the Desert Castles, located in the Kingdom's eastern desert, where the highlights include the frescoed art and zodiacal domed baths of Qasr Amra; the enigmatic fortress of Qasr Kharana; and the black basalt Roman/medieval Islamic fort of Azraq. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight. OPTIONAL: Beit Al-Nai - Nai making experience Learn the art of making the Nai, a musical wind instrument made from natural reeds harvested in the Jordan Valley. The maker will share the history and social anecdotes of the instrument, the sound creation technique and much more. Each participant will take home the Nai made during the workshop.
Day 3
Walking tour of Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Petra
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, a walking tour of Amman, the capital of Jordan, will take visitors through the historic centre, known as Jabal al-Qalaa. The visit begins at the Roman Theatre, an impressive structure from the 2nd century AD with a capacity for 6,000 people. From there, the visit continues to the Nymphaeum, a public fountain that also dates back to Roman times. A excursão leva os visitantes pelas ruas estreitas e sinuosas da cidade velha, onde podem ver mercados, lojas e habitações tradicionais. A stop to sample the delicious street food the city has to offer. In the centre, there are many street vendors and small restaurants serving traditional Jordanian cuisine. Some of the most popular street dishes that visitors can try during their visit include falafel, a fried dumpling or patty made from ground chickpeas or broad beans. In addition, visitors can sample some of the local sweets and desserts, such as kunafeh, a sweet cake made from shredded filo pastry and cheese, topped with sweet syrup. One of the highlights would be a visit to the Citadel, an ancient hilltop fortress that offers panoramic views of the city. The tour offers visitors the chance to explore the city on foot and discover both the ancient and modern parts of Amman with a local guide who is an expert on the city's rich history and culture, as well as sample the delicious local street food. Departure for Petra via the Kings' Highway. Lunch at a local restaurant Madaba, known as the "City of Mosaics", is the fifth most populous city in Jordan, known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, which can be found in public and private buildings. At the top is a large mosaic map of the Holy Land from the Byzantine era. Visit the Mosaic Map of Madaba; an index map of the region, dating from the 6th century AD, preserved in the floor of the Greek Orthodox Basilica of St George. Made up of two million pieces of coloured stone, the map depicts hills and valleys, villages and towns in Palestine and the Nile Delta. The mosaic contains the oldest surviving representation of Byzantine Jerusalem, known as the "Holy City". The map provides important details about the 6th century monuments, with the colonnaded central street and the Holy Sepulchre clearly visible. This map is fundamental to the development of academic knowledge about the physical layout of Jerusalem after its destruction and reconstruction in 70 AD. Continue to the hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight. OPTIONAL: Petra by night Complete your Petra experience with a visit to the Petra Night Show, this event is a magical way to see part of the rocky city by candlelight and explore the ancient city, which has become a world wonder. The unrivalled experience begins by walking along the Siq until you reach the Treasury, illuminated by more than 1,500 candles that provide the greatest attraction due to the spectacular view it offers.
Day 4
Petra
Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion A historical and archaeological city in Jordan, it is located on the slopes of Mount Hor, in a basin between the mountains, with its architecture carved into the rock and a system of water pipes. It was founded around the 6th century BC as the capital of the Nabateans and was the centre of their caravan trade. Petra, surrounded by imposing cliffs and watered by a perennial stream, not only had the advantages of a fortress, but also controlled the main trade routes that passed through it to Gaza in the west, to Bosra and Damascus in the north, to Aqaba and Leuce Come on the Red Sea, and across the desert to the Persian Gulf. However, the site remained unknown to the Western world until 1812, when it was discovered by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. This city has a lot to tell. After passing some tombs outside the city, the visitor crosses the SIQ, a huge crack in the Nubian sandstone. It's a winding fissure, a kilometre long, between overhanging cliffs that appear to be more than 300 feet high. Towards the end of the pass, the SIQ makes a final turn in style and, in the darkness, in an imposing glow, Petra's most impressive monument appears, the "Treasury" of Khazneh. One of the most elegant relics of antiquity, carved out of the solid rock of the mountainside, it is almost 140 feet high and 90 feet wide. Beyond the Khazneh, the visitor is surrounded on both sides by hundreds of structures carved and built in Petra, imposing temples, elaborate royal tombs, a carved Roman theatre, large and small houses, burial chambers and much more. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at the Petra Hotel. OPTIONAL: Henna Fantasy - Jordanian Folk Night. Eight folk dances performed by men and women in henna. Each dance has unique customs and props. Seven short films on various themes of Jordanian heritage (Ancient History, Modern History, Harvest, Hospitality, Marriage, Coffee Rituals and Women). At the end of the show, there is an interactive dance with the guests. OPTIONAL: Lunch in Petra - Dinner with a local family What better way to have an authentic local experience than to dine in Petra in a local house, sit down and savour Jordanian food with your family. Receiving guests is a great honour in Jordanian culture and you will feel the genuine warmth and welcome of your host. This experience will allow you to savour the love and pride with which Jordanian food is made and will fill not only your stomach, but also your heart. On arrival, you will meet your host family and enjoy a meal in Petra with them. You'll sit down with your family and eat until you're full. Only your host will insist that you eat more. When eating in Petra, "Al-ḥamdu lillāh" is a phrase you'll want to remember, because saying it when your host insists you eat another portion will save your stomach. Your host will reply "Sahtein" (to your health). A meal in Petra is not complete without a cup of local tea, which will be served to round off the experience. Your local host will then arrange for you to return to your accommodation. The local culinary experience lasts approximately 1-2 hours.
Day 5
Little Petra - Wadi Rum
Breakfast at the hotel. The trip to Little Petra, also known as Siq al-Barid, is a smaller, less crowded version of the iconic Petra. Explore the narrow passages and marvel at the carved facades of the rock-cut tombs, the Painted House, a well-preserved Nabataean house with beautiful frescoes. Next, visit Beidah, an archaeological site located about 4 kilometres north of Petra, which presents some of the earliest evidence of human settlement in the region. Depart for Wadi Rum for lunch, followed by a 2-hour jeep tour; a valley of fascinating beauty carved out of the sandstone and granite rock of southern Jordan and the largest Wadi in Jordan, with its huge sandstone and granite mountains rising abruptly from wide sandy valleys to reach heights of 1700 metres and more. Narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains and many of them hide ancient rock drawings carved by the desert's inhabitants over millennia. Bedouin tribes still live among the Rum Mountains and their large goat hair tents are a special feature of the landscape. The village of Wadi Rum is made up of several hundred Bedouin inhabitants with their goat hair tents and concrete houses, a school, a few tents and the Desert Patrol headquarters. Dinner and overnight in the camp OPTIONAL: Star gazing / Wadi Rum The adventure begins with a 20-minute presentation that takes you on a journey that sheds light on the cosmos. Anchored in our solar system, we ventured into the Milky Way and then travelled to all parts of the Universe. When the presentation is over, go out into the real world and start your journey through the sky. Follow the green laser light as it takes you through the night sky and then get your first amazing glimpse of the heavens through the optics of telescopes, opening up the wonders of the Universe for you to see for yourself. The night sky is full of many wonders, most of which are invisible to the naked eye. See for yourself through our telescopes what you've only seen in pictures. The grandeur of the stars and gases that make up the galaxies and nebulae that fill our skies. After enjoying the night under the stars, how about a memorable group photo taken by our professional star photographers with the stars as a backdrop?
Day 6
Wadi Rum - Dead Sea- Amã
Breakfast at the campsite. Departure for the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Rift Valley at around 422 metres below sea level. It is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, with a salinity of 33.7 per cent, where there is no place for life due to the extremely high salt and mineral content. For thousands of years, the Dead Sea has attracted visitors from all over the Mediterranean basin. It was a place of refuge for King David and one of the world's first spas, but it has been a supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilisers, as well as the use of salt and minerals to create cosmetics and herbal sachets. Buffet lunch and free time to swim. Continue to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight. OPTIONAL: Wine tasting experience Wine tastings in Amman usually include a tasting of a variety of wines produced by the winery. The experience usually begins with information about the history of the winery, the winemaking process and the different types of grapes used to produce the wine. A selection of wines is then tasted. The wines are presented in a certain order, starting with the lighter wines and continuing with the fuller-bodied ones. The tasting is usually led by a sommelier, who will guide you through the experience. The sommelier will explain the different aromas, flavours and textures of the wines and how to properly taste the wine by swirling it around in the glass, smelling it and taking a sip. You'll also learn how to pair wine with different types of food and the best ways to store and serve it. The experience will end with a question and answer session, where you can ask any questions you may have about the wines or the winery. Overall, wine tasting in Amman can be a fun and educational experience, allowing you to learn about different types of wine and the art of winemaking.
Day 7
Amã - Ajloun - Jerash - Amã
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Ajloun to visit Ajloun Castle, a mountain town north-west of Amman. One of Jordan's most beautiful regions, thanks to its Mediterranean climate, with its mountains famous for their lush vegetation and dense green forests and hiking spots. At the top, the impressive ruins of the 12th century castle stand out. Ajloun Castle was built on the site of an old monastery in 1184 by Izz Al-Din Usama, a general in Saladin's army. The fortress marks the furthest limit of Frankish incursions during the Crusades. The Mamluks added a prominent tower to the castle. In 1260, it was captured by the Mongols, who partially destroyed it. Drive to Jerash for lunch at the Artemis restaurant, which serves traditional Jordanian and Mediterranean cuisine. Popular dishes include grilled meats, falafel, hummus and tabbouleh. In summer, the outdoor seating areas offer beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. A visit to Jerash, located north of Amman, a 45-minute drive from the best-preserved example of Roman civilisation. The ruins have been carefully conserved and preserved from invasion; the modern city lies to the west of the walls of ancient Jerash. Jerash, part of the Decapolis (the ten great Roman cities of the East), has been called the Pompeii of the East due to its unique state of preservation. Considered one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities in the Middle East, it has theatres, churches, temples (Zeus and Artemis), a Nymphaeum and colonnaded streets. Return to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.
