Itinerary
Day 1
Teeran
Once you've arrived, get ready to start enjoying every moment! On this day, we'll visit the national museum, the Gulistan palace (built in the 16th century) and the Iranian Jewellery museum! We'll still have time to visit the Tabiat Bridge, which connects the beautiful parks of Taleghani and Abo-Atash. And if you think that's the end of the adventure, you're wrong! We'll also visit the great Tehran Bazaar and at the end of the day we'll have a dance lesson! It's going to be a full day!
Day 2
Kashan
We'll start our day with breakfast. Next, we'll visit the Fin Garden, a typical Persian garden. We will visit a historical museum in Kashan, Borujerdi, Ameriha and the Agha Bozor mosque. For lunch, we'll savour typical Iranian food. We'll end our day with a tapestry class! We'll have dinner and spend the night resting up for the next day!
Day 3
Kashan- Abyaneh- Isfahan
After breakfast, we made our way to Isfahan. We will visit the red island of Abyaneh and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the desert mountains. As a group, we'll have lunch with a typical Isfahan dish that you can't wait to eat - Biryani! This lunch will be at the oldest restaurant in town, next to the Vank church, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt Catholic architectural structures in the area! Later in the day, we'll visit the Khajoo Bridge and the Si o Se Pol Bridge, as well as a historic street - Chaharbagh Abbasi. We will visit a women's area where we can remove our hijabs and relax for an hour in a kind of spa (services not included, must be purchased on site). We'll spend the night in a boutique hotel and continue our journey!
Day 4
Isfahan
After breakfast, we'll continue our visit to Isfahan, via Naqsh-e Jahan Square! We'll visit the enormous Iman Mosque, which contains around half a million mosaics! We'll also visit the Shah Abbas mosque and then head to the Ali Qapu and Chehel Sotun palaces, UNESCO heritage sites. Here, we'll have a different activity! A photo session with a local photographer! During this photo session, we'll visit the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and after the activity, we'll relax while having a drink. And the day ends with dinner at the home of a Persian family. You'll get to know the local food and culture! A lifetime experience!
Day 5
Varzaneh- Naeen- Meybod -Yazd
Today we're off to Yazd, where we'll hear the story of the fire! But first, we'll visit the Varzaneh desert and the city of Naeen. We'll continue with a visit to the caravanserai and another tapestry workshop. We'll visit the pigeon tower and the WaterReservoir, a historic site in the town of Meybod, where we'll have lunch. Before heading back to the hotel, we'll visit the Clock Tower and come into contact with Zurkhaneh, a ritual that is considered an ancient but very present national sport.
Day 6
Yazd
Yazd is the world's first raw clay city and the first historic city in Iran to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll start by visiting the Tower of Silence and very close by we'll see various buildings and temples where different rituals take place. Zoroastrian time, also known as the time of fire! Amir Chakhmaq Square and the Jame Mosque in Fahadan are also places we'll visit on this day! After lunch, we'll visit the Dolatabad garden, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, we'll also have the team of photographers with us! In the afternoon, we'll have another distinctive activity, a workshop on how to make Yazd's special sweets! We'll spend some time with the various women responsible for the process and learn tips that have been passed down from generation to generation! After dinner, we'll rest.
Day 7
Shiraz
We'll leave Yazd and on the way to Shiraz we'll visit the second oldest tree in the world, the Cypress of Abarkuh, which is approximately 4,500 years old! We'll also visit the 11th century Ice House and the mausoleum of Gonbad Ali. We will also visit the Pasargadae Complex, the tomb of Cyrus the Great and the Pasargadae Persian Garden. We will also have the opportunity to visit Persepolis - the capital of the Achaemenid empire. We continue with a special visit to Shahcheraq, a holy site in Shiraz. Here we need to be using a xador. It's going to be a great day!
Day 8
Shiraz
After breakfast we continue our journey by visiting the Nasir al-Molk mosque known as the Pink Mosque. Next we head to the historic centre of Zandiyeh, where we'll find the Vakil bazaar, Saraye moshir, Vakil bath and Karimkhani citadel. Then there's another historic garden, Narenjestan Qavam and the Zaint al-Mulk house. We continue on to the Aif Abad Museum-Garden, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Hafez Mausoleum (14th century poet) and the Saadi Mausoleum (13th century poet). Today's lunch will also be a traditional dish - kalam polo shirazi. It will be a different kind of lunch, as we will be in an Iranian kitchen with a chef who will teach us how to cook this meal in the traditional way. The afternoon will be free, we'll talk about what we want to do.
Day 9
Firooz Abad - Back Home!
Today will be the last day of our trip to Iran! We'll spend the morning with nomadic women and prepare a traditional lunch in Firooz Abad. After lunch, we'll head to the airport and look back on this incredible trip together!

On this trip we’ll be staying in 4-star hotels

Does Triskelion Expeditions handle the flights?
Yes, although we don’t include the cost of flights in the trip, we can also take care of them if you wish. All you have to do is tell us when you book.
We send you a quote with the price of the flights at the time and then you decide whether to buy with Triskelion, on your own or with another agency.
Are arrival and departure transfers included?
That’s right, transfers are included in the price of the trip.
There is one flight on the trip that is recommended for the group to arrive at the same time, so transfers are available according to the arrival time of this flight. If you opt for flights with a different arrival time, these are no longer included (in which case there is no refund of the transfer fee).
Where do I meet the leader?
The meeting with the leader takes place at the destination airport.
If I enrol alone, do I have to pay an individual supplement?
It is not compulsory, as we will group together those who sign up for a double room with a twin bed (where possible), by sex and order of registration, travellers who sign up for the trip alone. If the number of travellers is odd, the participant who is left alone will have to pay the respective single supplement.
If you want to stay in a single room, then you will have to pay the single supplement.
What documentation do I need to make this journey?
For this trip you will need to carry a passport valid for at least six months after the date of departure from the country.
A visa is required to enter Iran (90€) and can be purchased on arrival.
Can I arrive before and leave after the group?
Yes, if you want to arrive in Tehran before the group and leave after the end of the group trip, you can.
In that case, if you wish, we can book the accommodation for you, or you can choose to buy it without Triskelion Expeditions.
How are meals not included?
Meals that are not included can be taken as a group, in places recommended by the leader or local guides, or you can prefer to eat somewhere else that suits you better, with other people or on your own.
How can I pay for this trip?
A minimum payment of 35 per cent of the cost of the trip is required to confirm the booking.
The remaining amount must be paid at least 45 days before the start date of the trip.
The remaining value of the trip can be paid in instalments up to 45 days before the beginning of the trip.
There is no refund of the amount paid at the time of booking, after confirmation of the trip.
Can I cancel the trip?
You can cancel your trip up until the day we confirm it by email.
If you want to cancel the trip after it has been confirmed, you will incur costs that we have already paid for services to be used on the trip.
