Day 1
Arriving in São Miguel - Ponta Delgada
Arriving to Ponta Delgada. We'll have someone waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel. Yes, we know the journey was short, but this day will be free. Take the opportunity to relax and get to know the group, it will be a unique experience and you'll meet lots of new people!
Day 2
Furnas
Today is the day to walk around the furnas! After breakfast, we'll set off on an excursion towards the town of Vila Franca do Campo, where we'll make a short stop to taste the region's famous queijadas and visit a tea plantation. We then continue our visit in the direction of Furnas. Here, we'll take a beautiful stroll through the famous Terra Nostra Park, where you'll be able to see the fascinating world-famous Botanical Gardens. We'll continue on to Lagoa das Furnas to watch the famous stew, named after the town, which is the lunch of the day. We'll spend the afternoon travelling through the beautiful landscapes of the island on our way back to Ponta Delgada. It's going to be a day full of activities, so get ready to relax at the end of the day. We'll get together to choose a place we all like for dinner and maybe a sweet treat!
Day 3
Seven Cities and Fire
Another day full of activities! We started our day with a trip to a pineapple plantation in a greenhouse, where we could see the different stages of growth. We'll be able to taste the fruit and its delicious liqueur. We'll continue the day by Pico do Carvão, Vista do Rei and Lagoa do Santiago. We continue on to the parish of Sete Cidades and Mosteiros. We'll pass Caldeira Velha where we'll have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll stroll around the city of Ribeira Grande, take a walk in the parish of Ribeira Seca and see Lagoa do Fogo and its viewpoint. We'll go down to the village of Lagoa and visit the ceramics factory. We'll return to Ponta Delgada where we'll choose a place to have another dinner together
Day 4
North-east of São Miguel
Today is the day to visit the north-east of the island. Get ready for the highlights, which will be the Miradouro do Cavalo (Horse Viewpoint), located in Salga, where you can get a different view of the island. We will also visit the famous Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park, a protected area in the Azores, which is located in the beautiful Serra da Tronqueira. Get ready for a wide variety of fauna and flora. We'll have lunch here and take it easy to Ponta Delgada.
Day 5
Ponta Delgada - Back home
The day of your return has arrived, but you'll still have time to explore a bit more of the city or do something off the beaten track! You can also take the opportunity to buy that souvenir that never fails! By now, we'll be exchanging contacts and feelings about the trip! It will be incredible and we'll already be looking forward to planning the next one! Right?

What kind of accommodation am I staying in on this trip?
The accommodation for this trip is the Neat Hotel in Ponta Delgada.
We use twin or double rooms (on request).
If you want a single room, you will have to pay a supplement.
Does Triskelion Expeditions handle the flights?
Yes, although we don’t include the cost of flights in the trip, we can also take care of them if you wish. All you have to do is tell us when you book.
We send you a quote with the price of the flights at the time and then you decide whether to buy with Triskelion, on your own or with another agency.
Are arrival and departure transfers included?
That’s right, transfers are included in the price of the trip.
There is one flight on the trip that is recommended for the group to arrive at the same time, so transfers are available according to the arrival time of this flight. If you opt for flights with a different arrival time, these are no longer included (in which case there is no refund of the transfer fee).
Where do I meet the leader?
The meeting with the leader takes place at the destination airport.
If I enrol alone, do I have to pay an individual supplement?
It is not compulsory, as we will group together those who sign up for a double room with a twin bed (where possible), by sex and order of registration, travellers who sign up for the trip alone. If the number of travellers is odd, the participant who is left alone will have to pay the respective single supplement.
If you want to stay in a single room, then you will have to pay the single supplement.
What documentation do I need to make this journey?
For this trip you will need to bring your national identity card.
Can I arrive before and leave after the group?
Yes, if you want to arrive in Ponta Delgada before the group and leave after the end of the group trip, you can.
In that case, if you wish, we can book the accommodation for you, or you can choose to buy it without Triskelion Expeditions.
How are meals not included?
Meals that are not included can be taken as a group, in places recommended by the leader or local guides, or you can prefer to eat somewhere else that suits you better, with other people or on your own.
How can I pay for this trip?
A minimum payment of 35 per cent of the cost of the trip is required to confirm the booking.
The remaining amount must be paid at least 45 days before the start date of the trip.
The remaining value of the trip can be paid in instalments up to 45 days before the beginning of the trip.
There is no refund of the amount paid at the time of booking, after confirmation of the trip.
Can I cancel the trip?
You can cancel your trip up until the day we confirm it by email.
If you want to cancel the trip after it has been confirmed, you will incur costs that we have already paid for services to be used on the trip.
