Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe
You will arrive at the airport and depending on your arrival time in Entebbe on the first day of this great adventure, you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. You're probably coming back from a long flight, so take the day to rest and get used to the people and the climate. Dinner is already included, so now you just have to enjoy it!
Day 2
Kibale Forest National Park
On the second day, you'll receive some instructions from the guide who will spend the day with you, and you'll start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours by car, passing through Mityana, Mubende and Fort Portal. Lunch will be at Fort Portal and you will enjoy excellent views of fields, tea and banana plantations, crater lakes, the peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains, among others. On arrival in the park, you'll check into the lodge to relax and in the evening you'll have a group dinner in the place where you'll be spending the night. You'll be right in the middle of the forest, so get ready for the sounds and incredible atmosphere!
Day 3
Chimpanzee trekking and Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a good breakfast, we will meet the guide/driver to go to the Kanyachu Visitor Center for a briefing on the rules and regulations to follow during the trek. After the briefing, you'll start trekking in the forest, which takes around 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees are, because they like to move from place to place in search of food. During the trek, you will see other primates, a variety of bird species, different species of plants and trees, among others. Once you've located the chimpanzees, you'll be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, which will give you the opportunity to take photos, record videos, learn about their behavior, habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, rest... After the hour-long encounter with the chimpanzees, we'll return to the park headquarters, where we'll meet up with our driver who will take us to lunch! After lunch, it's off to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second largest national park in Uganda. On the way, you'll enjoy excellent scenery again, farmland, traditional farms, crater lakes, the Rwenzori mountain range, and more. After arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park, we will check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the Queen Elizabeth safari lodge.
Day 4
Safari and boat trip
After breakfast, our guide will call us for a morning walk in the park, where we can observe animals such as buffalo, Uganda kobs, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, roe deer and predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, among others. After this incredible safari, you will return to the lodge for lunch. Later, we will take an interesting boat cruise on the Kazinga canal, a water channel where you can enjoy the ride itself, but also the sight of animals such as elephants, buffalo, wild boar, water ducks, among others, drinking water along the banks, seeing large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, species of water birds, among others. After the boat cruise, you'll return to your accommodation for dinner and rest for the next day!
Day 5
Bwindi National Park
It was the day to go to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, we'll make a stop in the Ishasha sector, in the southern part of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where, if you're lucky, you might see the famous tree-climbing lions! After the tour of the Ishasha sector, we'll have lunch and head to Bwindi. On arrival, we'll check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the Buhoma community rest camp. We are very close to the big day when we will see the Gorillas.
Day 6
Gorilla Trekking no Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The big day is here! Today we're going to see Gorillas in their natural habitat! The guide will bring our packed lunch, as we are expected to spend several hours in the jungle. After the briefing, the trekking will begin in a jungle, you have to be prepared, because depending on where the Gorillas are, the walk can take from 30 minutes to 7 hours! But you'll see that it's worth it! During the trek, we will be able to observe other species of primates, different species of plants, birds, among others. Once you've found the mountain gorillas, you'll be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, which gives you the opportunity to observe their habits and behavior, watch the gorillas feeding, breastfeeding, caring for their young, taking photos and recording breathtaking moments to remember later! It will be a memorable experience! After the hour-long encounter with the "gentle giants", we will return to the park headquarters, where we will receive a certificate of participation in the gorilla trek and then take an optional batwa cultural excursion, where we will be able to interact with the batwa, learn about their style and way of life, among other things. After the cultural excursion, we will return to our accommodation for dinner and overnight. Let's take the opportunity to rest after all the excitement of the day!
Day 7
Lake Mburo National Park
We head to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda's smallest national parks. On this day, lunch will be at the halfway point. On arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, we will take an interesting boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where we can enjoy an end to the day full of new landscapes and some wildlife sightings, Dinner will again be as a group and we'll take the opportunity to reflect on all the wonderful experiences we've had over the last few days!
Day 8
Kampala
Although it is the last day and the destination is Kampala, we will still go on a safari through the park, where we can observe the animals when they are most active. During the safari, we will have the chance to see buffalo, Uganda kobs, zebras, waterbuck, warthogs, giraffes, impalas, topi, oribi, roe deer and different species of birds. After the safari, we will return to Kampala with lunch at the Equator landmark in Kayabwe. The rest of the day is free to explore the city. Accommodation in Kampala.
Day 9
Kampala - Return Home
After breakfast, we check out of the accommodation and at the agreed time we will transfer to Entebbe International Airport for our flight home.

What kind of accommodation am I staying in on this trip?
Accommodation on this trip is low cost, and we will sleep in a guest house in Kampala and lodges and camps during the tour of Uganda and its national parks.
We use twin or double rooms (on request).
If you want a single room, you will have to pay a supplement.
Does Triskelion Expeditions handle the flights?
Yes, although we don’t include the cost of flights in the trip, we can also take care of them if you wish. All you have to do is tell us when you book.
We send you a quote with the price of the flights at the time and then you decide whether to buy with Triskelion, on your own or with another agency.
Are arrival and departure transfers included?
That’s right, transfers are included in the price of the trip.
There is one flight on the trip that is recommended for the group to arrive at the same time, so transfers are available according to the arrival time of this flight. If you opt for flights with a different arrival time, these are no longer included (in which case there is no refund of the transfer fee).
Where do I meet the leader?
The meeting with the leader takes place at the destination airport.
If I enrol alone, do I have to pay an individual supplement?
It is not compulsory, as we will group together those who sign up for a double room with a twin bed (where possible), by sex and order of registration, travellers who sign up for the trip alone. If the number of travellers is odd, the participant who is left alone will have to pay the respective single supplement.
If you want to stay in a single room, then you will have to pay the single supplement.
What documentation do I need to make this journey?
For this trip you will need to carry a passport valid for at least six months after the date of departure from the country.
A visa is required to enter Uganda and can be obtained online at a cost of ($50 – price may change)
Can I arrive before and leave after the group?
Yes, if you want to arrive in Entebbe before the group and leave after the end of the group trip, you can.
In that case, if you wish, we can book the accommodation for you, or you can choose to buy it without Triskelion Expeditions.
How are meals not included?
Meals that are not included can be taken as a group, in places recommended by the leader or local guides, or you can prefer to eat somewhere else that suits you better, with other people or on your own.
How can I pay for this trip?
A minimum payment of 35 per cent of the cost of the trip is required to confirm the booking.
The remaining amount must be paid at least 45 days before the start date of the trip.
The remaining value of the trip can be paid in instalments up to 45 days before the beginning of the trip.
There is no refund of the amount paid at the time of booking, after confirmation of the trip.
Can I cancel the trip?
You can cancel your trip up until the day we confirm it by email.
If you want to cancel the trip after it has been confirmed, you will incur costs that we have already paid for services to be used on the trip.
