Discovering Socotra Island and its culture
The Socotra archipelago is a part of the Republic of Yemen and is situated in the northwest Indian Ocean, near the Gulf of Aden, about 500 km off the coast of Yemen.
It is considered one of the most isolated, remote and rich archipelagos in the world in terms of biodiversity, wildlife and cultural heritage. It was designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2008.
